•Day-by-day AIX/Linux servers and network administration, troubleshooting and support tasks;
•Install, configure and support the hardware and software of AIX/Linux servers;
•System backup, recovery and security tasks;
•Setup and operation of disaster recovery solutions for AIX/Linux machines;
•Management of SAN used by the AIX servers;
•Configure, fine tune and administer AIX Servers in HACMP configuration;
•Install and configure Tivoli Storage Manager (server and clients);
•Day-by-day administration of critical IT applications of the bank;
•Troubleshooting and second/third level support tasks for the allocated applications;
•Develop and maintain documentation for procedures relating to servers and networks.
•Degree in computer science or equivalent;
•Proven experience of more than 2 (two) years in the use, installation, support and troubleshooting of UNIX/Linux environments;
•Proven experience in network configuration;
•Proven experience of Tivoli Storage Manager.
•Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills;
•Strong planning and organizational skills allowing one to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment;
•Flexible and able to work in high stress situations and/or off business hours;
Additional skills:
•Experience with IBM products (WebSphere, Tivoli Monitoring Services, DB2) – considered a plus;
•Excellent command of English language.
•Experience of working in a multi site environment – considered a plus;
•Prior experience in a 24/7 production environment – considered a plus;
•Banking field experience – considered a plus;
