This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established international company in agribusiness on a position of TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST (RAILWAY & SHIPPING FREIGHT TRANSPORTATION). Your main tasks would be:
Coordinates the duties related to the flow of goods, between the point of origin and the point of delivery in order to meet the requirements of the contracts, for the railway and ship freight transportation
Negotiates contracts and transport prices with the transporters and brokers in order to have the right goods at the right place and at time at the lowest possible costs and with the minimum possible loss
Keeps the track of all transport contracts and follows up the deliveries
Updates the SAP database with all invoices received and paid representing transport, checks all invoices and approves them
Sources best deals on the market, keeps himself/herself updated regarding market trends, tariffs, competition
Annually (or when necessary) reports regarding all aspects of the transport
Builds a long term relationship with the collaborators or third parties and tries to identify new ones when necessary.
The candidate should meet the following minimum criteria:
Relevant experience in a similar job of 3-5 years (railway and ship freight transportation)
University degree
Fluent in English language
Technical knowledge of transport legislation and transport network and market
Good resources management
Assuming responsibility, analytical skills, proactive attitude, ability to find creative solutions, with the best efficiency
Excellent interdepartmental communication and team work
PC literate (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Internet Explorer, Lotus Notes, SAP), numerical skills
