RESPONSABILITATI

The role of the Transport planner focuses on issues which relate to the transport infrastructure, planning, managing and improving of the transport route system.

Main job objectives
• Responsible for planning routing activity – creating the data base for all delivery locations, introducing transport orders into a software system, preparing the delivery schedule, transport specific papers etc.
• Management of the schedule and planning of transport operation, ensuring vehicle utilisation is maximised and services levels are met;
• Continuous improvement of the transport concept and optimization of the transport planning, implementation of relevant measures;
• Continuous review and optimization of the route plan;
• Securing 100% customer satisfaction in transport area;
• Responsible for evaluating the benefits and costs of different transport plans;
• Design the necessary transport projects and planning;
• Responsible for using mathematical and computer simulation models to forecast the effects of whether, policies and legislation changes and/or client specific requirements;
• Responsible for checking all relevant areas in relation with a specific delivery, before and after the driver will come back;
• Responsible for creating different reports for the transport activity.


CERINTE

• Educated to university degree level or equivalent professional-standard (Transport –advantage)
• 3 years Logistics industry experience (FSL-advantage)
• 3 years Transport experience
• IT - Microsoft Office (Excel / Word / PowerPoint), ERP systems
• Knowledge of Romanian legislation
• English – advanced level.
