Working within Ubisoft International Production Headquarters, you will be part of the Online Live Operations team, responsible for the European technical operations of one of our ‘Free To Play’ online games. In this role you will establish and develop a European technical operations team, improve working procedures with existing infrastructure/support teams and ensure the quality of player service (connectivity, stability, security). This first project will form the basis of a rapid expansion of European technical operations on future Ubisoft online games.
Working with technical and production teams based the world over, you will produce complex technology and manage the ever increasing demands of players.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with Ubisoft production and technical support teams
Develop processes and tools and, if necessary, recruitment plans
Build a strong team to ensure the quality of our technical service
Manage and be accountable for the global Quality of Service of our online FTP game. This includes version releases, technical monitoring, and trouble-shooting
Focus on prioritizing the end-user experience in the decision making process
Carry out these missions with the sharing and growth of Ubisoft’s European online gaming technical operation expertise always in mind.
Profile
A minimum of 5 years experience as Technical Manager of an online platform service
A previous experience managing technical teams (engineers, system administrators, etc.)
Strong, demonstrated experience with internet, client-server, and database technologies
Calm under pressure
Exceptional communication skills: can motivate, convince, and circulate information at all levels
An excellent level of English is essential
A strong level of French is a plus
An experience in a similar role on an online game is a bonus
