UK based consulting engineers firm is looking for a number of Civil engineers for a large railway infrastructure project in Romania.
The project is likely to take 3 years.
All candidates shall have extensive international experience (EU and CEE - Romanian experience is an added strength) from similar projects and be fluent in written and spoken English. Good command of English language is a must.
1 position - Team Leader:
Qualifications and skills: MSc level civil engineering with General professional experience of Minimum 15 years relevant experience (railway infrastructure projects) of which 7 years international experience.
Specific professional experience:
Minimum 3 years experience under FIDIC Contracts Conditions or similar Minimum 5 years experience in similar climate conditions (regular frost periods)
Experience in development/review of feasibility studies and/or design of railways projects: minimum 3 similar projects completed.
Experience as team leader: minimum 3 projects completed.
The Team Leader shall be permanently working on the assignment and spend minimum 95% of the contract duration in Romania.
3 positions - Railway Infrastructure Engineer/Design Manager- railway section 1/2/3
Qualifications and skills: MSc/BSc level civil engineering, preferably with specialisation in railways.
General professional experience: Minimum 10 years professional experience in railway infrastructure of which 3 years international experience
Specific professional experience: experience in review and/or design of railway infrastructure including increase of line speed - minimum 3 projects completed
Experience in similar position: minimum 2 projects completed.
2 positions - Structural Engineers. One bridge engineer and other railway structures engineer.
Qualifications and skills: MSc/BSc level Civil engineering preferably with specialisation in structures, minimum 7 years international experience in the railway sector
General professional experience: Minimum 7 years professional experience in the railway sector of which 3 years Imitational experience.
Specific professional experience: Preparation of design for bridges, culverts, viaducts and other railway structure ¿ minimum 3 projects completed.
Preparation/review of feasibility studies ¿ minimum 2 projects completed.
Good command of English language is a must.

Approximate salary levels:
for Project Manager ¿50.000-60.000/year plus accommodation etc.
for Senior Engineers ¿40.000/year plus accommodation etc.
