Role purpose:
• Major contributor to the maintenance and development of the overall system architecture, data model, and system integration strategies. Support the development team providing architectural guidance, reference framework documentation and common practices
• Lead the main technical aspects of the overall end-to-end architecture and ensure that the application development is compliant and well aligned with the defined evolving architecture, taking into considerations technical requirements like performance and security in addition to the functional ones
• Interact with the customer facing solutions architects and technical leaders of the main systems to be integrated making sure all the interfaces are defined, documented and available
• Provide input into decisions on development frameworks
• Support the analysis activity that will define the sprint backlog, including working with the scrum team to identify the technical impact of user stories
• Provide architectural and data model clarifications back to the scrum team during the course of each sprint
Key accountabilities:
• Defining and maintaining a consistent and evolving system architecture in terms of main components, interfaces, integration mechanisms and data model
• Working closely with the technical analyst to analyse how the technical requirements might be implemented and how they may impact on the evolving architecture, integration, performance and security
• Identification of upstream dependencies (such as cloud stack API calls) and in general for all the external APIs to be used for integration
• Work closely with the customer, developers and testers at all stages of the requirements development to ensure that what is produced is fit for purpose.
Experience:
• You will have 3 - 5 years’ experience as a developer and designer, focused on the delivery and integration of web based applications
• You will have at least three years’ experience as an architect
• You will have 1-2 years working in an agile Scrum environment
• You will have a proven track record of progressive thinking and continuous improvement and coaching
• You will have proven technical background in web applications architecture, web services, integration services, data modelling, performance analysis and security assessments and evaluation
Skills:
• A second European language would be an advantage
• Very good written and verbal English
• You will be able to confidently describe the system structure of the system, data model and main interfaces and APIs and ensure on-going compliance and quality of user stories with the defined architecture and frameworks
• You will be able to elicit good quality requirements from businesses and technology users in an open and engaging manner
• You will also need to be highly proficient in:
• Delivering technical requirements to the team
• The Scrum process
• System integration
• Data modelling
• Light weight requirements tracking
• Behaviour driven development
Knowledge:
• Strong knowledge within the following areas is required:
• Enterprise system architecture
• Web application architecture
• UML
• Sequence diagrams
• knowledge of building integration components for both SOAP and RESTFUL services
• Data modelling
• User story analysis
• Web services and WSDL
• You will understand the difference between a good and bad user story and the impact on developer effectiveness, planning accuracy and quality of output

Administrative details
Working schedule: Monday-Friday, from 09:00 to 17:30, with 30 minutes lunch break.
Contractual period: Full-time employment, during an indefinite period.
