Maintain Internet connection systems; understand satellite communication technology; know how VoIP systems function; perform network maintenance functions for all company Plant/Living Quarters in Iraq, including data backups, printers, computers, and data communications; install and maintain any networking equipment required to fullfil day-to-day operations at all Iraq facilities; interact with service providers the help support installed systems; and travel in Iraq is required.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
• Manage and control connectivity to networking resources
• Monitor network usage, Internet activity
• Perform network administration duties
• Install software on computers
• End-user technical support face-to-face, by email, or through phone
• Troubleshoot varying types of data/end-user issues
• Troubleshoot VoIP connectivity issues
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• Conceptual understanding of satellite communications
• Proficiency in Windows office products and Windows Operating Systems
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP configuration
• Excellent people skills
• 5+ years of IT experience
• Willingness to work away from home for extended periods of time
