Our client, the global leader of delivering IP/Ethernet network solutions and developer of the Envigilant IoT platform, is looking for an experienced Solutions Engineer to provide pre- and post-sales support for the rapidly-growing IoT solutions customer base.
Position Summary and Responsibilities
The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for the technical relationships with customers and prospects and will work internally with sales and product development to identify and communicate solutions to meet customer business needs.
Pre-Sales Responsibilities:
• Assist sales team through preparation and delivery of technical presentations, demonstrations and statements of work by matching specific client business requirements with effective technical solutions.
• Educate prospects on product implementation and usage and answers their technical questions.
• Participate in consultations and/or product capability assessments with prospects.
• Create relationships with key decision makers and serve as external technical spokesperson.
• Contribute to the architecture, design and implementation of the Envigilant IoT Platform.
Post-Sales Responsibilities:
• Work directly with customer contacts to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues associated with Envigilant platform.
• Provide customer assistance by escalating and reproducing the problem to internal development sources until a solution is reached.
• Provide customer feedback to executive and development teams to participate in functionality roadmap planning.
• Document technical articles or knowledgebase for use by other technical support personnel and/or customers and partners.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of software development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of technical support.
• Experience in writing software in one or more languages such as Java, Python, Perl, C/C++.
• Strong understanding of new and emerging technologies around the Internet of Things (IoT)
• Strong knowledge of network and security architecture, network management, network availability, QOS & capacity planning, IP networking, LAN Switching
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Ability to travel occasionally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on the ability to clearly articulate and discuss technical issues
