An international Australian based negotiation training company is seeking a software tester and specifier on an ongoing basis. We have created cutting edge software which includes: Customised CMS, SEO tools, Social Media Tools, Profiling and Exam software. The developers you work with are highly experienced. Your employer ensures that you use the best toolsets, effective communication methods, and have a diversity of projects to challenge you to grow, learn and develop.
Your time commitment will average about 35-40 hours per week, based on projects. While you can choose your working hours, it is preferable that you are online during Moscow working hours to chat with the developers (who start around 10AM Moscow time). These hours can range between 30 and 50. We would prefer for you to be doing this role full time, and if you would like more hours, for the right person we could increase responsibilities to incorporate analysis work.
Communication will take place primarily over instant messenger (MSN, Yahoo, Skype, Gtalk, ICQ). Weekly conference calls with developers and Calum will take place over skype. So your having a fast enough connection for skype would be advantageous.
You will be given training and a handover by the person currently in the role (from India).
Primary Responsibilities
1. Gaining an in-depth understanding of the web infrastructure, customized software toolsets and software applications.
2. Specify changes to the web sites and toolsets in graphical and word form (Using a Project Management system together with Snagit for graphical mock-ups). Communicate these changes to the developers.
3. Project Coordination with some project management, primarily of developers, to ensure that deadlines are met and priorities are followed.
4. Update and inform your employer of higher level changes and manage his expectations.
5. Find and report on bugs. Test to ensure that developers fix all bugs. Use advanced scripted software to quickly test large predictive routines.
6. Make suggestions on how to improve the tools and web infrastructure further. Think about users’ experience, and always seek to make it easier and more useful for the user. The user is both clients on the front end, or our staff on the back end.
7. Focus on visitor and prospect conversion in all forms (these currently include: courses, seminars, newsletter subscriptions, asking questions, sending articles to friends, and of course emailing and perhaps calling).

- It is also preferable that you have a fast broadband internet connection in order to have skype chats and do screen sharing. While we would prefer for you to have your own pc, a laptop can be provided.
- Your English must be of a good level, as all specification will be made in English. While it would be advantageous to speak Russian, this is not a requirement.
