The MSG Automotive SW team from Romania is focused on developing the basic software for the advanced automotive electronic devices powered by the 32bit Power Architecture™. The basic software functionality is standardized by the Automotive Open System Architecture organization and it's incorporated in all programmable Electronic Units (EU) which are part of any modern car system.
The holder of this position will be in charge with global process definition, continuous improvement, deployment on automotive projects, performing the quality assurance for the assigned projects.
As a Software Process Quality Engineer you will have to perform the following activities:
• Contribute to MSG Global Process Definition, Maintenance and Improvement (Process Covering the following standards/models: Automotive-SPICE/CMMI, ISO9001:2008, ISO/TS169494, ISO26262)
• Responsible for process deployment to the assigned projects, taking in account the process tailoring rules and project needs
• Offer process tools support to the assigned projects team members
• Responsible for Planning and Execution of the Quality Assurance Activities according to the Project Quality Assurance Plan (Process Audits/Assessments, Release Readiness Reviews, Supplier Monitoring Reviews, Metrics Implementation, Metrics Reporting & Analysis, Review of Project Planning & Engineering Documentation)
• Contribute to projects preparation for external assessments (ISO/TS16949 and Automotive SPICE)
• Work with development team and project managers whose projects are affected by changes in software engineering practices by providing a broad perspective of the improvement effort and by helping the managers set improvement expectations.
• Provide process consultation to development teams and to management
• Interacts with 3rd parties Quality Representatives
• Offers quality/process support within customers/partners interactions
The expected performance for a process/quality engineer is reflected by:
• Contribution to the continuous improvement of the MSG SW Process
• Quality Assurance Support Level for the assigned projects
• Results of the external process assessments
• Customers process/products quality related feedback
To ensure your successful performance in this role, the following working experience is a must:
• Demonstrated experience in working with processes (Project Planning Process, Configuration and Change Management, Engineering processes like: Requirements Management, Software Design, Implementation and Testing)
• Very Good knowledge in Software Processes
• Good knowledge about process driven activities (process definition and improvements, process deployment and project support, process trainings, customer quality support)
• Good understanding of quality models and standards: CMMI, ISO9001:2008
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent command of English (speaking & writing)
Any of the following aspects reflected by your professional background will bring an advantage for your application:
• Bachelor degree – preferable in Computer Science; Computer Engineering or Electronics
• Experience in working with quality standards and software maturity models (ISO/TS169494 and Automotive-SPICE)
