Your responsibilities
* Monitoring and optimizing our server infrastructure at various hosters
* Hosting Services (software management, domains, dns, ips, backups, LAN, DMZ)
* Coordinate deployment processes/support developer teams
* Updates/Patches/Optimization of Apache/Tomcat/MySQL
* Maintainance of application and database servers, backups, patche etc
* You work with Debian Linux, Apache Tomcat, MySQL, Windows Server 2003
* You know how to configure Iptables, fw-configurations etc.
* You are familiar with subversion, nagios, VPN
* You will also be responsible for the LAN/WAN (via VPN) of our different offices
* You will be introduced to the project and trained by our German professionals
Your profile
* You earned a masters degree or have equivalent profesisonal experience
* At least 3-5 years of professoinal experience
* You are an epxert in Debian Linux, MySQL, Tomcat, Apache
* You are familiar with at least 1 script-language (Perl, Shell-Scripte)
* Nice-to-have: Windows Server 2003 administration knowledge
* You have good communication skills and are a team player
* You have very good analytical skills and can evaluate business process with respect to technical implementation
* You are very reliable and have a sense of urgency
* You are results-oriented and have an independent work style and proactive attitude
* You have an affinity for technical challenges and elegant realisation
* You have good written and oral English skills (documentation will be in English)
