The Senior Project Financial Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and under the administrative authority of UNDP Romania CO, specifically the Head of Socio-Economic Section. The main objective of the Senior Project Financial Assistant is to provide support and assistance in various aspects of the management for the implementation of the project.
Provide expertise on various project-related issues of financial/accounting nature
Ensure accurate accounting, recording and reporting of project expenditures
Draft project-related reports and documentation
Constantly monitor the financial status of the project, namely monitoring of budgetary resources to ensure that they are administered in line with established UNDP financial rules and regulations, as well as donors’ expenditures eligibility criteria, and regularly report on developments to the Project Manager (i.e. monthly reports as a minimum, or more often as case be)
Perform thorough checks on the financial documents (invoices & purchase orders), provided by the managers of the Business Centers, regarding the reimbursement of grants of utilities, specialized services and auxiliary services for all the Incubated SMEs registered under the project
Check and keep records of all invoices
University Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Banking, Public Administration, Economics, or other related field,
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project administrative and/ or financial functions is required,
Excellent reporting and presentation skills,
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail,
Strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to work closely and proactively with a wide range of stakeholders
Strong inter-personal skills
