Position Summary
This is an opportunity for an ambitious and seasoned Product Manager to take ownership of our core security products. You will be responsible for our security product portfolio in the area of, prevention, detection and repair of the latest threats our users are facing. As the internet threat landscape continues to evolve and the devices connected are diversifying, together with our Avira Protection Labs, you will be on the front of the security & safety promise we make to our millions of users. You will have a direct influence on how well we protect them today and in the future.
Your performance objectives
The core of our company is based on the ability to prevent, detect and repair against all malicious types of behavior or unwanted or unknown exposure to pontential threats. Whether it's traditional malware, PUA (potentially unwanted applications), network based attacks, unautoriized provacy infringement or scams, your success is based on how well we fulfill our promise to protect our users. In close cooperation with other teams, your will be responsible to create the core security product portfolio vision. You will establish epic level stories which guide our companies investments across all popular operating systems and device types.
You will report to the Head of Product Management. Your success will be measured by your user satisfaction rate of the solution, #of users, # of devices and 3rd party test results.
- University degree in information technology / engineering
- You have 5 or more years'experience in product management
- You have 3 or more years'experience in an Agile development environment
- Strong knowledge of security products and detection technologies
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and resources
- Be a self-strater with attention to detail and motivated about getting results fast and finding solutions
- Ability to think critically with independet and analytical killsets
- Genuine excitement about technology, have a strong interest in learning about and playing with the latest technologies
- Experience with AV security products/ companies a plus
- Fluent written and spoken English
This job is based in Tettnang, Munich or Bucharest.
