Tasks:
- Deal with Level 2/3 external and internal client support;
- Incident response;
- Be a key player in developing our internal projects;
- Submit improvement proposals that would automate our business even further (this is a key quality so if you're the "passive" type, please stay off).
- 3+ years experience in Linux systems administration in small to mid-sized environments;
- A strong understanding of networking concepts;
- Familiar with the webhosting industry concepts (HTTP, DNS, POP3/IMAP/SMTP etc.);
- Able to cope with unprecedented situations when split second are to be taken in order to minimize the incidents effects;
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English;
- Self driven professional;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Advantages:
- Bash, Perl, Python, PHP/MySQL knowledge;
- Hands on experience with performance monitoring and alerting solutions such as Nagios, Cacti, Smokeping etc.;
- Proven experience with managing a SAN environment (preferably iSCSI);
- Experience in a webhosting (or related) environment;
- VoIP (Asterisk based); - Experience building various APIs.
