Road transport manager plans and coordinates freight and transport operations on the European’s road network. You’ll make sure that goods and drivers reach their destinations safely, on time and in the most cost-effective way
Requirements
- arranging routes and schedules, and confirming the details with carriers
- booking cargo space with carriers
- negotiating rates
- calculating weight, volume and cost of goods to be moved
- recording details on a computer system
- preparing quotations and invoices
- clearing goods through customs and arranging for any duties or taxes to be paid
- advising clients about the arrangements that have been made
- carrying out general administrative tasks such as filing.
- making sure the operation meets its targets
- putting together performance reports for directors
- Good knowledge of French and English or English and German/Italian/Russian (spoken/written)
- Clean driving license
- well organized
- have a good head for figures
- able to work with people at all levels
- meet deadlines
- Experience in road transportation (min 2 years)
The successful candidates will work in Bucharest, receive a competitive salary of 1500 - 2000 ron net with benefits (lunch tickets, incentives), in an international environment. They will also learn about the industry through our intensive training program and will have the opportunity to work with our different nationality staff.
