Role:
Supports design, implementation and monitoring activities for meeting coverage and capacity criteria for the RF portion of the network. Conducts experiments and tests for ensuring quality and high performance of the RF network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports design for cell sites for both indoor/outdoor GSM sites as well as WLAN systems (performs propagation tests, candidate survey/selection, design and integration drive test).
- Collects real network test information by drive tests. Must be familiar with the requirements of safe and acceptable standards during the testing / design phase, must be able to set up and operate the necessary equipment to perform tests with valid and reliable results. Produces reports/maps on performed tests. Suggests solutions/ alternatives.
- Ensures RF network quality through daily monitoring of performance statistics; performs site changes / cell parameter alterations to improve RF site performance.
- Conducts required preventative maintenance on the test equipment to ensure full functionality.
- University degree in Microelectronics and telecommunications or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years experience in telecommunications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
