RESPONSABILITATI

The Project Manager

Manages all aspects of a project (project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and procurement)
As required, project manages all allocated bid responses.
Is a customer-oriented role and delivers solutions worldwide.

Service Delivery Manager
May report to a Global Project Manager for specific projects

Duties and Responsibilities:


Project Management

Ensure all projects clearly defined, planned and agreed up front.
Plan, lead, organise, control and communicate projects to ensure successful outcomes.
Maintain effective financial/budgetary control of all projects.
Effective control of all project change.
Ensure quality standards and practices are understood and followed by the project team. Where deficiencies are identified in those standards and practices; ensure they are immediately identified to the relevant person(s).
Ensure effective project resourcing.
Identify areas for improvement in the project management practice; and where relevant assist in the improvement of those practices.
Promptly and pro-actively manage the resolution of all issues and risks that arise during projects.
Input to performance appraisal for project participants.
Keep up-to-date on project management tools and techniques.

Communication & Reporting

Complete all specified reporting to required timeframes.
Identify, analyse, and promptly highlight as relevant, any key issues and/or risks.

Teamwork

Self-managing, take initiative and be pro-active.
Participate in the up-skilling and training of colleagues and new staff.
Provide support and encouragement to other team members.

Other

Ensure relevant, effective working relationships and effective communication with all relevant customer, third party and eSG staff.
Able to travel as and when reasonably requested.
Understand, follow and improve upon all formally-communicated methodologies, processes, policies, and values.
Always focus on delivering consistent, reliable, repeatable and scalable outcomes.

Essential Skills and Experience


Knowledge and Experience

Broad, technology solution based, project management experience and success across a range of projects, organisations and technologies.
Strongly preferred; certified in one of the mainstream project management certifications; e.g. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince.
Preferably a member of one of those mainstream project management organisations.
Preferable experience in the telecommunications sector.

Skills

Excellent leadership, people management, planning, budgeting and project tracking skills.
Highly effective communication, conflict resolution and people management skills that leads to productive teams and excellent working relationships with all parties.
Take ownership (delivery, interruptions, etc) of issues through to resolution.
Quickly identify, analyse and pro-actively solve problems before they affect the outcomes of projects.
Excellent English oral and written communications skills.
Quickly learn new skills and technologies.
Quickly gain credibility and build successful relationships with customers, third parties, and eSG staff.
Work effectively with people across multiple organisational, functional, geographic and cultural boundaries, and across a wide spectrum of technical and professional skills.
Work autonomously as and when required.
