Experienta anterioara cu un server de aplicatie jBoss, Websphere Application Server, BEA WebLogic si/sau cu unul dintre mediile de dezvoltare integrate jDeveloper, jBuilder (Borland), Rational Developer (IBM Websphere Application Developer), Eclipse.
Pe langa cunostintele de programare este necesara cunoasterea limbii engleze cel putin la nivel mediu; cunoasterea limbii germane constituie un plus.
