Principal Accountabilities
1. Marketing Objectives
· contributing to the development, monitoring, optimization and conversion of marketing strategy / concepts into measures (e.g. field service applications, modifications)
· processing all relevant steps of the marketing process (e.g. assessing the launch and phase out views, setting the prices of new and old products in cooperation with the sales and marketing management)
· planning and monitoring the marketing budget
· participating to preparing the tender offers (collection of documents, certificates and data, controlling tables and cost analysis studies that are prepared by the sales representatives)
· cooperating with the Logistics Manager in order to create a safety stock for the products under his responsibility
2.Business Development
· identifying market opportunities and threats regarding portfolio, customer, competition and regulatory
· identifying potential customized services for target groups (e.g. review of distribution channels, monitor and develop marketing mix, evaluate the product’s P&L)
· insuring development, implementation and optimization of marketing strategies / concepts, and branding and awareness of products and services
· coordinating the application concept with Sales management
· ensuring customers information on the use of Company products according to the regulatory intended use
· planning, designing and implementing training programs on scientific issues, and the usage of company products including training the field force (Area Sales Manager, Sales Representatives) and training presentation (usage of products) to opinion leaders with the collaboration of Area Sales Manager
· planning, coordinating and monitoring advertisement or promotional activities (organization of conferences and other promotional activities, support of external agencies, integration on the marketing mix, support of opinion leaders, attendance of national studies, creating / updating / logistics of promotional leaflets)
3. Controlling and Reporting
· analyzing and reporting the marketing plan implementation and targets achievement progress to stakeholders
· using marketing tools (target group analysis, market and competition monitoring, value proposition, access concept and marketing mix etc.), derivates actions
· monitoring and providing regular feedback to head of marketing on planned and current activities and market information (e.g. analysis and benchmarking of product and service quality, customer satisfaction and profitability)
4. Leadership
· Leading a team of Product Specialists
· setting individual goals and conducting regular performance reviews
· maximizing value, knowing "the business", managing relationship, driving results, championing change
· ensuring continuous education, training and further development of team members and him / herself
5. External and Internal collaboration:
· representing the company, developing and maintaining enduring, value-driven relationships with the stakeholders of the company (customers, suppliers, other companies)
6. As marginal functions the Product Manager would have to participate in international projects, trainings and events and also to be a real support to customers when going to congresses and company events.

Professional Skills
· University degree in Natural / Life Sciences or related qualification
· 2 to 4 years as Product Specialist in diagnostics industry
· good knowledge of organizational and financial procedures in medical laboratories (in detail)
· good knowledge of Regulatory and Law procedures related to the procurement and selling policies in the Romania Market and particularly in the Romania Public Sector
· strong English skills
· good PC-skills (MS-Office: Word, Excel, Power Point; MS Outlook)
· good communication and negotiation skills
· good planning, administration and decision making skills, in order to meet sales goals and deliver profitable growth
· driving license
