• Develop procurement strategies and best practices to deliver cost savings within all categories ending with measurable reductions in the cost of acquiring goods and services
• Translate organizational strategies and directives into departmental equivalents, producing sourcing projects and programs that support company’s ongoing needs
• Partner with other internal teams to advise business and functional leadership on all aspects of the procurement function.
• Coordinate, prioritize and manage the day to day activities of the procurement team
• Develop staff capabilities through delegation and oversight of sourcing and process review projects, working with them to create actionable project plans, implementing these plans across the company, and producing and measuring results
• Report all program progress in a routine set of reports to upper management
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with international exposure in a oil & gas company
• Experience in building an organization from the ground up
• Able to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relations
• Proven networking, team-building, organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of English is a must
• Proficiency in MS Office
