General:
- The PMR (Professional Mobile Radio) subsystem provides the TETRA-based PMR network solution
- In the frame of the First Detailed Appendix Extended Scope (FDAEx), the PRM Engineering Expert will be charge of:
- the definition of the configuration parameters for PMR subsystem network elements
- the assessment and the records of the Installation and Commissioning reports
- the follow-up of the system SW upgrades
- As a member of the PMR subsystem engineering team, he will contribute to the overall PMR subsystems activities from design phase (CDR) up to the final acceptance (SQA)
- You will also support the Roll-out team as the PMR system expert during the implementation phase
- The jobholder reports directly to the PMR Technical Manager
Responsabilities:
- Contribute to the engineering activities in the PMR parts up to the final acceptance
- Contribute to the overall technical solution of the PMR elements according to the BMS quality gates up to qualification
- Elaborate and, if needed, test in a laboratory environment, the system configuration parameters for Switching and Management devices
- Defines (as lead) together with the support of Transmission network Engineering the radio network configuration parameters
- Implement and update, when needed with the support of the Roll-out team, the Switching and Management configuration parameters
- Update FDA network Engineering Document to FDAEX and maintain document till final handover to ILS
- Elaborate the PMR subsystem Network Operation Plan (Numbering plan, Fleet mapping, ???) in accordance with the overall Network Operation Plan
- Update, validate (tests) and maintain the Installation and Commissioning tests procedure for PMR subsystem network elements
- Update the generic PMR system acceptance document to County SQA version
- Provide guidelines and expertise to roll-out team during implementation phase and system acceptance
- Report incidence
- Define (as lead) and implement, with System Design team support and team corrective actions
Requirements:
Technical
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in designing PMR Networks
- Very strong knowledge in:
- PMR Tetra system Technology (NOKIA Equipments)
- Tetra Network management system o Transmission (data network interface)
- good knowledge in:
- Networking protocols and standards (TCP/IP, E1)
- IP Routing/Switching o MW technology (LOS study, configuration st-up,...)
- basic knowledge in GSM / PABX system / VOIP
- Working in complex system environment (integration/migration of existing networks)
- Working experience in the implementation of telecom networks or electrical engineering
- Technical background (sound practical and theoretical background) for communications equipment
Education
- Degree in electrical engineering/communications technology solutions in front of the customer
Others
- Fluent in English;
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Capability to express easily and with the consistency technical solutions in front of the customer
- Strong delivery focus
