A financial and accounting services provider, our client is looking for a Payroll Assistant, which will be a much welcomed addition to the team, seeing that the business is experiencing healthy growth.
THE ROLE
You will be working closely with the Payroll Manager and be responsible for:
• Posting client company’s employee hours worked, computes total hours worked for pay period, reviews figures for completeness and accuracy and makes necessary corrections.
• Answering questions concerning pay, benefits, and deductions.
• Maintaining records and filing system of payroll and employee benefit data.
• Preparing tax fillings for state and social security withholding.
• Preparing data sheets and cards for new employees.
• Compiling weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and other payroll related reports.
• Processing personnel information concerning each client company employee on payroll.
• Posting sick, annual and vacation leave for each employee from time cards and leave slips.
• Performing other administrative duties such as filing, typing letters, correspondence and memos, answering the telephone, posting and making copies.
WHO YOU ARE
You must have at least 6 months to two years experience in a payroll environment, strong personality and be able to manage your own workload.
