-Ensure the integrity of Telemobil’s Packet Switch Network;
-Undertake any hardware and software enhancements to the Packet Switch Network as directed to by the NSS Opt. Manager;
-Analyse and investigate trouble reports with the aim of implementing both corrective and preventative measures on the Packet Switch Network;
-Evaluate PSN performance data, in order to detect maintenance needs and maintain optimum network quality;
-Propose Engineering Solutions to the NSS Opt. Manager to guarantee a flexible and successful response to new services, traffic changes, network expansion, etc;
-Provide technical support and advice to the NSS Opt. Manager or Operations Manager in all issues concerning the Packet Switch Network;
-Undertake knowledge transfer to other members of the NSS and Operations Teams as directed to by the NSS Opt. Manager or the Operations Manager;
-Supervise junior members of the NSS team as directed by the NSS Opt.Manager;
-Oversee, supervise and control outside contractors in any work related toTelemobil’s Packet Switch Network;
-Travel as required for Packet Switch Nodes implementation.
-University degree or equivalent or a combination of relevant education and progressive experience may also be considered;
-3 years of telecommunications environment experience, of which 2 years in a relevant Mobile Data environment;
-Skilled and experienced individual with a combination of an overall understanding of telecommunications operations and systems and expert knowledge of data systems;
-Unix (Solaris, Linux , Etc) OS knowledge;
-Cisco, Lucent, Huawei, ZTE or other relevant telecom vendor experience;
-Security and Network Services (DNS, AAA, SMTP, NMS , Etc) knowledge;
-Cross functional communication skills are required;
