Responsibilities:
• Establishing networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards;
• The design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment;
• Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades;
• Configuration of routing and switching equipment;
• Configuration of firewalls;
• Running periodical scripts, needed for the preventive and repairing activities;
• Back-up and restore routines;
• Change management activities, activation/deactivation of system functionalities, deployment, re-homing, interconnections, end-to-end testing, software upgrade and remote data center coordination of activities;
• Inventory management;
• Preparing and updating documentation according to specific requirements.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience;
• Cisco Routing and Switching skills;
• Linux administration;
• Knowledge of database administration MSSQL, MySQL, etc;
• Knowledge of network provisioning and telecommunication standards;
• Excellent communication skills in English;
• Basic scripting (Perl, Shell, PHP);
• Knowledge about SNMP and monitoring tools (ex: Cacti, Nagios, Zenoss);
• Knowledge of NAS/DAS/SAN.
