The IT Department of Ubisoft is seeking a Microsoft Systems Administrator to be responsible for the health and operations of our Windows platform and server products, with a main focus on operational activities, proactive capacity management and event monitoring. He will also contribute to the execution of various projects and will act as a second level support for the Microsoft systems under his responsibility (including 7/24 pager support).
He must be able to work flexible hours and paid-overtime as needed, according to the legislation.
Your tasks
Responsible for the proper daily operations of the Microsoft systems under his responsibility, such as IIS, SCCM and/or SCOM, but also Active Directory and Exchange;
Install, maintain and upgrade Microsoft server hardware and software;
Monitor system events to ensure health, maximum system availability and service quality;
Participate to the backups and restoration of Microsoft systems;
Manage advanced troubleshooting of emergency situations on the systems;
Perform system & application patching and upgrade of equipment firmware;
Maintain documentation regarding configurations, operations and troubleshooting procedures related to the Microsoft platform;
Participate to the definition of standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics as directed;
Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design and standards;
Answer user’s query and service requests.
Your profile:
Essential skills:
3+ years of experience in Microsoft systems administration in a 300+ servers environment
Good knowledge on MCSE 2010
Good Knowledge of Windows 2008 Server, IIS and SharePoint
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange 2010 and Active Directory
Being familiar with SCCM and/or SCOM and know how to manage servers in various ways (RDP, MMC, NetSH, and other command-line, etc.)
General notions of Linux
Oral and written knowledge of English
