Responsible for the sustainable development of the LTL/FTL department ;
Focuses the team on building productive professional relationships to enhance the success and profitability of the department;
Responsible for reaching the objectives of the department;
Guarantees the quality of the operational LTL/FTL activity in accordance with existing company standards and reporting system;
Manages the department as a cost center, seeking to improve its productivity and profitability;
Organises department activities and prepares required reports;
Evaluates employees of the department within their competence and professional conduct, on both individual and team roles;
Coordinates the actions of several internal or external entities;
Takes direct charge of the key and/or complex files.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the international transportation field LTL/FTL (less than truckload/full truckload)
Knowledge of the transportation market, its needs and potential ;
Experience in managing a team;
Proficiency in English and/ or French languages;
Very good PC abilities with MS Office suite;
Good abilities in working with clients and transport suppliers;
Very good negotiation skills both internal and external;
Decision making skills and ability to lead and delegate tasks;
Flexibility, open-minded, initiative and problem solving orientation.
