We are searching for a colleague for the following position:
Linux Test Administrator
in our Bucharest-based Linux System Development team.
What would you do?
You will….
...maintain and enhance testing environments and frameworks
...design and implement functional / non-functional tests based on developer and client needs, taking into account deadlines and goals
...automate the tests and integrate them into regression frameworks; manually test the features that cannot be checked automatically
...deploy testable versions of software on test systems and regularly run functional test cycles
…create, run and automate performance benchmarks when needed
…work closely with the development team to investigate and solve major software incidents;
...review the technical documentation for accuracy
…research/enhance open-source tools, as needed
And, most of all, you will be a part of our young and dynamic team.
If you have:
…strong scripting skills, in at least two of the following languages: Bash, Python, Perl
...good knowledge of Linux operating system, from an administrative point of view, good knowledge of Linux system tools
…experience with relational databases (MySQL)
...ability to read a system specification and understand the purpose and structure of the system
...ability to derive from a system specification the areas that need to be tested
...ability to assess the quality of software by measuring relevant factors such as corectness, reliability, stability, scalability, performance
...ability to use software versioning systems
...excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
...some knowledge of hardware components and ability to make comparative analysis
Would be a plus:
...experience with open-source configuration management software such as Bcfg2, Cfengine, Puppet, etc
...passion for quality and building cutting edge test automation infrastructures
...ability to perceive areas with a high risk of development mistakes
…knowledge of C, C++ or Java programming languages
…knowledge of German language
