B.S or M.S in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of industry experience in software product development role including all aspects of the product lifecycle including definition, architecture, design, and development.
Must-have skills:
- Demonstrated record of technical leadership including producing well-documented architecture and design work, and directing technical teams;
- 8 years of hands-on C/C++ experience;
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to influence cross-group technical stakeholders;
- Deep experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Linux kernel device drivers
- Linux user-space system level development
- Linux user-space library development.
Highly desirable skills:
- Embedded Linux development, debug & test;
- Linux streaming media (both audio & video);
- Working with Open Source Software community. Including success with getting code accepted in upstream open source projects;
- Linux Display & Graphics driver development
- OpenGL, EGL, GLES2;
- Knowledge and developer experience with at least 4 of the following:
- gcc / glibc / GNU binutils / Makefiles
- gdb
- GNU auto-tools (autoconf & automake)
- modprobe / depmod / insmod
- Creating / building RPM Packages, including using rpmlint
- SysV init / Linux startup scripts
- DBUS
- udev
- ALSA & PulseAudio
- gstreamer
- video4linux
- X Windows / GTK+ / Qt / Clutter
- Netlink
