RESPONSABILITATI

The incumbent will be required to work in a project environment – from study phase through designing, implementation, documenting, delivering Alarm Management (AM) solutions primarily in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Optimizing productivity and quality by driving and maintaining standardization will be an important goal. In addition the incumbent will be required to support sales with presentations, demonstrations, development of white papers, proposals and estimates.
AM solutions may involve interfacing to various real time systems, such as DCS, PLC or SCADA systems and may also involve other products, networks and protocols. Experience with control systems, interfacing, especially with OPC compliant devices and an understanding of the alarm protocols / messages is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to technically lead diverse project teams and carry through the project on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of the customer. The candidate will be able to work on several projects simultaneously providing expertise across these projects.
Indepth knowledge of energy and chemical industry including up-stream, midstream and downstream facilities.
Very good in depth and up to date knowledge of AM software (after appropriate initial training in all relevant packages) and ability to apply them throughout the project cycle.
The position is a direct staff position with billability to external customer projects, intercompany customer projects and customer support services on average >= 85%.

The applicant will be responsible for:
• Successfully delivering AM projects on-time, on-budget, in align-ment with the client order and to the full satisfaction of the client unlocking the targeted business value using state-of-the-art tech-nology.
• Having a good working knowledge of the AM portfolio (after ap-propriate initial training in appropriate and relevant packages).
• Having a good working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (e.g. Experion PKS) and Industrial IT (e.g. RDBMS, Networking, XML Services and state-of-the-art Programming Languages).
• Having a good working knowledge of third party applications used to create integrated supply chain management systems (after ap-propriate initial training in all relevant packages).
• Leading (and/or participating in) AM projects in a variety of indus-tries in EMEA, so that they meet the client’s needs and meet planned margin. To be able to work on 1-2 projects simultaneously (depending on the project size).
• Utilizing leading technologies in the delivery of AM projects.
• Driving productivity and quality by standardizing AM project exe-cution using powerful tools and methodologies.
• Supporting the rolling out of new technology across industry in EMEA.
• Assisting the sales force with the preparation of proposals, esti-mates, occasional support of sales in visits to customers, technical presentations of papers.
• Ensuring that all completed projects can be formally handed over to the After Market Service organization.
• Supporting project managers and contracts managers to ensure that contractual scope obligations of AM projects are met.
• Coaching and supporting project managers in the team whenever required. Review purchase requisitions, monitor that the baseline project documents are maintained, followed and made available to all concerned, identifying additional project scope and coordination with sales and estimating, facilitate consistency in methods, reports, definitions, interfaces and philosophy across the team. Initiate and manage continuous improvement processes.
• Working whenever needed in areas which might require dispute resolution between the team and customer.
• Applying applicable norms, standards, best practices, guidances and regulations.


CERINTE

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Sci-ence or similar engineering discipline. Non chemical engineers will need to display excellent process understanding and knowledge gained by plant experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in the energy and chemical industry.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience with state-of-the-art Manu-facturing Execution Systems, Advanced Alarm Management Sys-tems, Distributed Control Systems and industrial IT projects.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in supporting the sales force including customer presentations, project estimates/calculations and proposal work.
• Acted minimum three (3) years as a Sr. Engineer in an appropriate field.
• Holds appropriate industrial IT technology certificates (e.g. MCTS SQL Server, Oracle RDBMS Administrator, XML Services and state-of-the-art Programming Languages)
• Preferably holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Possession of a IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certi-fication.
• Prior experience with managing staff and projects in a software based industry.
• Good written and oral communication skills (in English and prefer-ably German or French).
• Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
• Preferably experience in technically managing teams of at least three (3) individuals or more. Should be experienced in operating across multiple countries, in a complex matrix organization.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with external and internal customers.

Position requires approximately 50% international travel mostly in the Europe, Middle East & Africa region.
