•Responsible for accurate day-to-day bookkeeping (working in GL, primary accounting based on valid documentation)
•Collect bank statements and other documents from the banks;
•Maintenance of petty cash register;
•Assist with submission of tax returns to Romanian authorities
•Assist in fund expenses process, including maintenance of invoices logs, obtaining approval for payments and payments processing
•Proper archiving of the documents to ensure efficient reach and full safeguards around company records
•Support in preparation of quarterly Romanian GAAP financial statements
•Involvement in preparation of IFRS financial statements and additional related reports
•Involvement in preparation of board reports, client reports, and various ad hoc internal documents
•Involvement in fund expenses process, including maintenance of invoices logs, obtaining approval for payments and payments processing
•Building strong relationships, proactively servicing their needs, and managing ad hoc requests
•Maintaining and building external partnerships e.g. working with auditors, custodians, regulator, advisors etc.
•Working within the team to manage customer expectations and tactfully deal with conflict
•University degree in accounting, finance or business.
•1 year experience in book keeping (general accounting)
•An interest in taking an accountancy qualification such as ACCA is preferred.
•Experience with automated financial systems (preferably Ciel or similar), is an advantage
•Basic knowledge of IFRS is an advantage
•Strong knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications are required
•Fluent in Romanian and English to a business level
