You will take over the responsibilities for design, implementation, quality assurance and deployment of J2EE based solutions in the field of EPCIS. In this position you are part of a competence team that is intended to provide in-house knowledge and expertise.
Your range of responsibility contains:
- Consolidation, analysis and documentation of user requirements
- Functional and technical specification of user demands
- Development of Java based applications (J2EE)
- Maintenance and enhancement of existing systems that are already implemented and used within the METRO companies
- Creation / maintenance Oracle 11g database schemata
- PL/SQL coding using Oracle SQL developer tool
- Creation and modification of existing HTML templates using HTML and CSS standards and JavaScript language
- Usage of WebSphere based technologies like WebSphere MQ
- Testing to assure high level of SW quality
Required skills:
- Minimum 1 year hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise DB, PL/SQL, Java (J2EE) & Linux (ideally RHEL)
- Knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, IRIS based on WebSphere MQ, EPCIS Standards 1.0 & 1.1 are desirable
- Additionally further web technology skills in the field of HTML, CSS and JavaScript are beneficial
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline
- Excellent ability to communicate in English language verbally and in writing
- Skill to understand and focus on our internal clients' needs and goals, and to establish credibility and build relationships with clients
