We have an opening in the Pricing & Risk team of our Client that looks after the fixed-income trading platform. Traders use this platform to trade bonds, treasuries, and other debt instruments worldwide. We look for a strong technologist with Core Java skills in a Linux server-side environment. C++ and Perl skills and strong
analytical skills are also highly desirable. The role will include a combination of long-term strategic development and shorter-term
business focused development on this trading platform. The main focus will be to deliver increased automation to the trading desks and
expand pricing and analytical capabilities into new business areas. You would be expected to gain expertise in several components of this
platform and take full ownership of your projects from requirement gathering to roll-out.
Skills Required
- Strong proficiency in Core Java and XML technologies in a Linux server-side environment
- Development experience in object-oriented programming and working with mixture of new and legacy systems.
- Good problem-solving, result-focused, can-do attitude, and strong focus to keep the business running and competitive.
- Good communication skills in English and ability to work in a team.
Skills Desired
- Experience in the finance industry
- Java, databases, Perl scripting
- Strong interest in the financial business (albeit no prior knowledge is required).
- Good communication skills in English
- Coaching & mentoring for new team members.
