General Objective: To develop software for personalization systems
Reports To: Software Manager
Responsibilities, Duties, and Tasks:
- Writing design documents and functional specifications
- Participating in design and code reviews
- Developeing and unit testing new software
- Debugging and fixing bugs during stabilization of the software
- Installation and configuration of system components (hardware and software)
- Supporting the system post deployment
Education:
Computer Science graduate
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience developing applications in Java
- Experience developing web applications, web services, hibernate/spring or any Jakarta projects is considered an asset
- XML technology knowledge, XSL, XPath, XQuery, DTD, XML Schema; JavaScript.
- Strong background in applying formal development methodologies, including knowledge of use cases, required analysis, UML
- Experience in using application servers Java (Tomcat, WebLogic)
Skills:
- Strong communication skills in English (French is an asset)
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong team player
- Make-it-work attitude under firm deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willing to travel abroad
