General:
- Responsible in each test cycle for identifying and defining the required tests, monitoring detailed testing progress and results and evaluating the overall quality as a result of testing activities.
- In addition, the IT Tester is responsible for supporting in defining the test approach at the system level (E2E and integration tests) and performs successful execution. The role involves identifying the appropriate techniques, tools and guidelines to implement the required tests and to deliver expected results in terms of quality, scope and schedule
- Line reporting to the IT Test Manager.
Responsabilities:
- Contribute to elaboration of test documents and inspection procedure (generate, expand, maintain)
- Test environment setup and execution of the integration tests, feature tests and system tests
- Installation of the System SW (Operating Systems, Database Systems, Application Server, etc) and associated HW devices
- Configuration to operability of applications under test
- Test tools usage (configuration /versioning/fault/test management) to professionally manage the test activity
- Customization and maintenance of the virtual platform (VMware)
- Document test reports, follow up defect's resolution. Report testing progress and open issues on a predefined metrics basis. Risk analysis on planned and executed tests - Result analysis with the responsible test manager / sub system responsible
- Notification and troubleshooting of errors
- Derive operational based test cases out of Use Cases and functional scenarios;
- Selection of appropriate test methods. Coordinate implementation
- Identification of possible savings with test automation
- Observe predefined testing metrics to guarantee a continuous improvement of software quality
- Generate configuration files and suggest engineering fixes
- Problem ticketing administration and fault coordination
- Management of subsystem deliveries: revision, installation, ratification, registration under Configuration Management tool
- Analysis for the need of simulators and potentially, their development
- IT tests platform maintenance and customization
- Technical support for Rollout and Acceptance
Requirements:
Technical
- 3+ years experience in Integration, Validation and Qualification area or System Engineering.
- Command and Control solution, Web E-learning solution, Risk Analysis
- System Management solution (CISCO Works, HP OVO, NNM, etc)
- Software Test Methods
- Rational Unified Process
- Test experience in large project/program
- Experience in management/team leadership.
- Application/ software engineering.
- Rational Test Suite or similar
- Automation Tools (WinRunner or similar)
- SOA
- J2EE
- SQL Database
- Unix, Batch-Programming
- Bea Weblogic
Education
- University degree in Telecommunications or IT Engineering

- Fluent in English
