Systems Administration:
• assures the effectiveness of the backup process;
• verifies access control (e.g. users rights), integrity and backup of data/configurations;
• installing & administering Windows 2003 servers in a high availability environment; this includes performance optimizing, backup and monitoring;
• maintaining data integrity;
• maintains contact with providers and other systems administrators as needed;
• maintains the systems environment as assigned;
• provides technical assistance in the development and maintenance of plans, documentation, standards and procedures;
• provides technical assistance in the management of Systems Administration tasks;
• documents systems management activities.
Security Issues:
• checks the compliancy with security standards ISO 27001:2005;
• develops and documents policies if necessary;
• regularly verifies that the company’s data is protected, access control, backup integrity;
• implements, monitors, evaluates and reports on the effectiveness of all information security controls covering IT facilities and infrastructure in compliance with relevant information security standards and the company information security management systems;
• incident reporting procedures and logs, intruder detection/prevention systems;
• use of and appropriate management of cryptography technology;
• regularly organizes and documents servers restore tests;
• documents and keeps up to date the business continuity plan;
• assists/conducts internal and second party information security audits;
• documents systems security activities.
• Basic knowledge or exposure to project management methodologies;
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking;
• Knowledge of Windows 2003 Server Active Directory;
• Comfortable with all aspects of system administration (i.e. system installation, configuration, system security, installing third party software, troubleshooting), experience with hardware troubleshooting;
• Performance tuning;
• Writing/refining installation and support manuals, procedures and processes for new services;
• Experience in security/ISO regulations, policies, Disaster Recovery Plan, Business Continuity Plan implementations;
• Experience with security software/hardware, like IDS, cryptography, certificates;
• Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly;
• Attention to detail.
