To ensure that the provision of IT Services meet quality and security levels at lower cost, enabling business users to take optimum advantage of IT in achieving their strategic aims.
- The jobholder will ensure that the service levels agreed with the business are practical and are achieved, and will make sure that the interruption in processes caused by the infrastructure is kept to a minimum.
- Manage and properly dimension the resources of IT service and infrastructure in terms of both hardware and software.
- Update and maintain a robust, tested Disaster Recovery Service to ensure continuity of agreed service levels on the site. Propose and manage maintenance and service contracts that are in-line with business scope relevant to continuous service provision.
- Ensure that the business is protected from unauthorized access, use and corruption of the entire installed network of computer facilities and applications in use on the site, consistent with the overall security requirements of the company.
- Make proposals for IT Infrastructure procurement, according to the company needs.
- Ensure, together with the IT Manager, that the best procedures are in place to establish an efficient and effective communication/coordination between Helpdesk and Business System Analyst.
- Propose and maintain IT related procedures/policies that help the organization work in an efficient way.
- Experience of at least 3 years in a similar position (preferably in a non-IT company)
