Alcatel Romania organization is in search of a qualified candidate for the position of ITS System Engineer. This intermediate-level professional, is a fully qualified individual producer who applies a broad knowledge of technical concepts, practices and procedures. Duties require a variety of computing, data communication and organizational skills, familiarity with Windows based operating environments, applications and equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs as a member of ITS team and report to ITS team leader. He/she generally works under deadlines, operating independently and doing his/her best to achieve the objectives.
- Performs a full range of support, network and system administration activities on two Bucharest locations.
- 1st level user support
- LAN and WAN administration
- WIN environment administration & installation
- UNIX (SUN SOLARIS) administration & installation
- WIN and UNIX application installation & configuration
- Takes contact with HW suppliers for ordering new equipments
- Develop new skills in order to improve the time response and assure a high quality of the services delivered to the users from Bucharest site.
THE JOB IS BASED IN BUCHAREST
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of related system administration & user support experience (Windows)
- A broad knowledge of computing processes and technology : TCP/IP, Security,
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2003, XP, MS Office 2003, SMS 2003
- Knowledge of SOLARIS OS.
- Knowledge of CISCO routers or ALCATEL switch-routers
- Certification is a plus: MCP, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA
- Familiarity with Helpdesk ticketing software
- PC deployment skills (ghost, sysprep etc)
