Our client is a US based global manufacturing organization, employing over 140,000 people worldwide with a turnover of over $22.6 billion in 2007, with more than 17 years of experience in Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing in Central & Eastern Europe.
Responsibilities:
• provide tier I support for all hardware/software services via telephone, e-mail and walk-ins in a courteous and professional manner. Route and or escalate more complex requests to appropriate tier II support technicians
• provide telecoms services for adds/changes/deletes. Follow up to ensure telephone services are maintained. Troubleshoot problems on extensions and voice-mail
• research hardware software problems for end users by applying standards procedures and best practices
• install, troubleshoot and support Microsoft Office Products. Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
• record, track, and document all the help desk request problem solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
• monitor and coordinate SPAM control process; evaluate SPAM e-mail for validity allowing appropriate e-mails to pass
• train new users on computer software and hardware tools via the phone
• University degree in IT, Information System or related area
• 1-2 year experience in technical phone support, voice services, SPAM controls and anti-virus tools
• knowledge of English with German or English with Italian
• experience training users on basic software and hardware functions via phone
• analytical and problem solving abilities
• customer service orientations and written and verbal communication skills
• knowledge of computer hardware, including Intel based desktops, laptops and servers
• experience with desktop operating system, including Exchange 2000/2003, Outlook and Windows office products
• experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
