Reports to: Vicepresident IT
The Role: The IT Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring that business needs are met when developing and implementing IT solutions in an Insurance company. He/she has understanding of the business strategy and the IT solutions required to support it.
The IT Business Analyst is focused on analysing, planning and developing IT solutions that support the business needs of the company, with accent on the insurance and financial systems. He/she also participates in business planning, business needs analysis and business risk assessment. The IT Business Analyst also acts as an in-house consultant working with the various functional areas of an organisation, providing advice and guidance on how to support the business operations through the effective use of IT.
This is a role for an experienced IT individual. It will suit a person who enjoys solving problems and who has a sharp customer focus and orientation.
A person who likes working in a team, and writing and communicating with others with an interest in understanding business and how the business problems of the future will be solved with the help of technology like computers and mobile telephones. A person who thinks solving business problems would be interesting would enjoy this job.
The ideal candidate has experience with multinational companies, and has experience in implementing and maintaining information systems in the Insurance / Financial industry. In particular, experience with Fadata Insis software and Wizrom WizCount application is a big plus.

Defining business requirements for the IT solution. Understand and translate business problems and user requirements into information flows, processes and logical data models using company¿s methodology and standards. Participate to the fit-gap analysis process.
- Participating in the definition of the IT strategy for the business (which might be, for instance, the best ways to capitalise on the latest internet or mobile phone technologies). Participating in business needs planning & strategy process.
- Identifying and defining opportunities to simplify, improve or redesign business processes using IT solutions.
- Analysing, planning, configuring and developing IT solutions.
- Project control: ensure that the project tasks are developed and completed according to plans, identify and analyze any deviations, suggest and discuss corrective actions with all concerned people and update plans and specifications accordingly.
- Overseeing and co-ordinating various aspects of the solution including information flow, data security, business recovery, system implementation, and change management.
- Configure the systems in Clal Romania and third-party premises according with user requirements and Clal standards.
- Provide training to internal users and external business partners and guide them during system initializations.
- Analyze user requirements for maintenance on existing applications, disaster recovery plans, identify possible solutions with resource and cost estimates, and plan the implementation together with users and management.
- Propose any functional or technical improvements on existing applications, even without user demand, in order to facilitate or reduce future maintenance efforts.
