- For one of our clients, a multinational company, global leader in technology and services, one of the world's leading technology companies with 140.000 employees serving more than one billion customers in more than 178 countries on six continents, we are looking for an HPC Benchmark and System Configuration Engineer.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Providing technical presales configuration and deal support for primarily ISE region;
- Providing support for the HPC benchmarks;
- Running time measurements for customer written codes and for ISV codes;
- Performing code optimization on different hardware platforms;
- Defining HPC architecture and HPC project configurations;
- Advising the sales team;
- Performing different software installations and different software configurations both on the company¿s sites and on customer¿s sites;
- Ensuring an effective environment on future platforms;
- Traveling frequently within the EMEA region;
- Ensuring customer satisfaction all along the project life cycle.
- University or equivalent degree in IT or in a relevant scientific field (Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry);
- Academic PhD level would be a plus;
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows, HP-UX operating systems;
- Parallel programming: MPI (especially for benchmarking);
- Programming languages: FORTRAN, C++, Java -(especially for benchmarkings);
- Experience and good knowledge with programming models (SMP vs message passing);
- Knowledge of hardware architectures (processors, systems and interconnectors);
- At least 3 years of relevant professional IT background;
- Special know-how of HPC (Cluster Computing) and Cluster Products in the market;
- Fluency in conversational, written and technical English;
- Excellent communication skills in writing, presenting and listening;
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
- Ability to assimilate information and build new expertise quickly;
- Strong interpersonal skills: being able to collaborate and work in a virtual team, good initiative and follow-up;
- Flexibility to travel;
- Knowledge of other language (German, Spanish, French, Italian) would be a plus.
