Our client is one of the most innovative and most known suppliers in the worldwide automotive industry. With the core expertise in plastic interior and exterior parts our client covers the entire process chain: from product development, to production planning, to production. As a result of the expansion in Romania and the related construction of a new plant, we are looking for a qualified and highly motivated:
General Manager – Romania (m/f)
Your assignments:
* Total responsibility for the effective production and engineering of the plant's products
* Plan, direct and control manufacturing operations within the plant to ensure the most effective and efficient utilization of resources to meet the overall needs of the business
* Responsible for ensuring that the targeted EBIT is achieved through a safe and efficient environment adhering to all legislative requirements and in line with the companies quality and operating standards
* Develop long term plans for the production facility to meet the sales and marketing objectives of the company
* Develop, communicate and ensure the implementation of policy for manufacturing, logistics, process development, engineering and materials to meet the needs of the company in the best way
* Ensure the continued development of the plant’s product lines to take advantage of all available technological improvements so that the company retains and develops its reputation for advanced, high quality products which meet customer specifications
* Ensure that industrial relations and HR issues within the production environment are resolved in a fair and equitable manner to promote harmonious industrial relations and a co-operative workforce
* Develop and motivate senior management and review organisational arrangements to ensure that the long and short term operating requirements are capable of being successfully achieved
* Ensure that effective communications with other parts of the company are maintained and that all management information is presented in a timely and efficient way
Our requirements:
* Higher technical or commercial degree
* Several years of experience in an automotive industry/production with a high degree of managerial capability
* Profound technical understanding of automotive (plastic) parts
* Open minded to new ideas. You are proposing and actively encouraging ideas from your employees for improvement and change
* Display a consistently high level of skill in applying decision-making techniques
* Know how to quickly and accurately access relevant information from different sources
* Prepared to go beyond the call of duty in order to achieve results
* Fluent in Romanian and English language, other languages are a plus
You are the “brains and motivation” behind the whole plant, experienced in all departments of a global automotive supplier, maybe in the sector of a producer of plastic components. As a manager, you are fair-handed, able to handle conflicts and capable of getting things done. You are versed in the specific characteristics of new plant construction and production flow and in collaboration with international customers.
