We are looking for a full stack web developer to take charge of the platform's development. We are a community driven development effort built on agile principles. The underlining technologies are PHP, JS, CSS and HTML over CodeIgniter.
Candidates should be familiar with the base technologies and at least one MVC PHP framework.
On the long term we would like to welcome you inside the team as a partner (receiving stock of the company via a vesting plan), therefore we are searching for a programmer who's heart leaps when he reads about Babele.
You would be working with us from the very cool co-working space HUB Bucharest. The position starts in January 2014.
Babele is an online innovation-center open to anyone who has an idea or a project and would like to make it happen with the help of a community. Babele offers entrepreneurs the methodology to convert their idea into a viable business model, validate it with the crowd and find the right people to help them develop it.
This online platform is based on a crowdsourcing approach to innovation.
We also believe that there should be a more sustainable approach in the way projects are shaped: therefore we actively search sustainable development projects to support via our platform and we encourage all other projects that enter the platform to take into consideration their environmental and societal impact.
We aim to introduce a new paradigm in the way projects are shaped and managed based on open source collaboration that aims to engage local communities and individuals in the design and implementation of sustainable development projects. In this sense Babele is a potential revolutionary project, increasing knowledge and consciousness about open and collaborative creation, management and development of any kind of project. Giving tools, case studies, skills over business creation projects, connecting potential professional with project owners is something priceless today for every single innovator.
