You have a degree in computer science, a solid understanding of analysis of algorithms, versatile programming skills and the ability to learn new languages within a short timeframe. Ideally you have prior experience with web services, cloud computing (e.g. AWS), Linux, Ruby, Python, hit, nginx or Apache. You have an understanding of JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks and modern web applications.
1. Starting from day one you will familiarize yourself with our vision of the ''secure web" project. Within one month you understand the software and hardware architecture of the existing cloud-based systems, so that you can start improving and deploying backend systems and web applications.
2. In addition, within the first six months you will develop, implement and release Avira's first cloud based password manager solution to our millions of customers. The system will scale transparently for a very large user base, be cost effective and provide high performance, low maintenance and redundancy.
3. A year into the job you have added new features to the password manager and connected Avira's cloud services to provide market-leading online security to our millions of customers and stay ahead of competition by improving existing and developing future products.
