• Design and Develop an Online Video Platform (OVP) using an existing open source project code
• Develop and Extend flash players with enhancements as required
• Work in collaboration with the core development team to deploy the flash player within a desktop application.
• Research and present ideas for OVP and Player enhancements
• Periodically report & follow-up to supervisor/team leader regarding project status and progress
CORE
- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position
- Expert practical knowledge of action script 3, XML, Soap
- Solid understanding of flex and Flash Media Server
- Experience working with and extending video players like JW Player and/or Flow Player
- Reasonable understanding of User Experience and Interaction design
- Understanding of OOP principles
- Understanding of code
- Basic math understanding
- Able to take a project from inception to completion
- Good understanding of HTML, JS, CSS, Photoshop
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
ADVANTAGEOUS
- Knowledge of PHP and/or Java
- Experience with any of the following : Kaltura, JW Player, Flow Player
