This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established international FMCG company as
FOOD TECHNOLOGIST where your responsibilities will be to:
modifying existing products and processes and developing new ones;
checking and improving quality control procedures;
researching current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts;
selecting raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers;
preparing product costing based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products;
liaising and cooperating with technical and commercial colleagues in procurement, sales and technical services, and marketing and distribution, and also with official food inspection and hygiene agencies.
The successful candidate should have the following attributes:
food related degree (food science/technology/food, nutrition and health/food safety and quality management/applied science - food science);
at least 3 years of experience in a food production company with emphasis on bakery products;
a genuine interest in science and how it is applied to food and cookery;
high standards of cleanliness and the ability to adhere to strict hygiene rules;
commitment, enthusiasm and motivation;
attention to detail;
good communication and numeracy skills;
problem-solving skills;
teamworking skills and a flexible approach to working.
