Our client is a company with a full private social capital, which has as a main object of activity the execution of railway goods transportation and connected railway transports services.
The registered results, the potential and the availability, the owned park of wagons and engine, the transport capacities, maintenance and repairs, are meant to guarantee the performance of secure and quality services and recommends our client company as being one of the most important railway operators in Romania.
Through the investment activity, our client follows three main directions, all under the principle of quality: ensuring cheap transportation, fast and secure, implementing some modern techniques of performing the merchandise railway transport and ensuring some very good work conditions for the own personnel. Presently, our client operates a park with over 2300 wagons, being able to ensure railway transportation all over the country, respecting the required quality and security conditions in the domain.
RESPOSABILITIES
• The Financial Controller is responsible for the supporting activities finance, risk management, accounting, reporting, tax, compliance, ICT.
• The Financial Controller is responsible for all accounting/finance department issues.
• He is the interface between finance/accounting and trade/traffic. He/she will work closely to the business and will pro-actively participate to develop the business.
• Liaise with banks and headquarters regarding finance issues
• Currency hedging / position reporting
• Preparing and analysing balance sheets and profit & loss accounts for IFRS.
• Turning this information into reporting packages for management and headquarters.
• Overlook the below activities together with the Chief Accountant.
• Corporation tax calculations and returns.
• VAT matters and VAT returns.
• Statutory accounts.
• Cost analysis of executed contracts.
• Analyses of results of various grain commodities.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years satisfactory performance as chief accountant/Financial Controller.
• IFRS knowledge required
• Strong analytical skills
• Computer literate (professional business software, Microsoft products)
• Fluent knowledge of the English language (reading/writing/speaking)
• Knowledge of applicable governments regulations, personnel politics etc.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and public
• University degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
