Purpose of the Position:
To design and implement solutions for General accounting processes (including closing and reporting, FP&A and external reporting) for existing and prospective clients apart from supporting existing operations.
Description of Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
The individual will be required to work as end to end SME for Record to Report (R2R) that includes General Accounting, Closing and Reporting, VAT compliance, FP&A and external reporting. As SME it is expected that solutions for delivering various R2R services would be designed and implemented for Genpact clients. Typical projects include functional guidance for ERP implementation, implementation of accounting tools and platforms and/or providing process excellence support using six-sigma/ lean methodologies.
The individual should have the ability to adapt to various accounting systems and platforms and should be able to interpret the needs and requirements of the clients. She / He should be self starter willing to take lead for their domain and take complete responsibility of a project if given the opportunity.
She / He should be a team player and should be able to freely and decisively communicate with the Internal and External stakeholders including the project management team.
The individual should have excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work with ambiguous and incomplete details would be necessary
It is imperative that all solutions designed by the individuals adhere to generally accepted accounting principals and have built in internal controls to drive controllership.
Required Work Experience and Special Educational Requirement:
More than 6 years of Experience from which 4+ years experience in a multinational company, should have TL/Operations Manager experience.
CA/CPA/ MBA Finance from a reputed university
Accounting qualification followed by several years of general accounting experience
Required Language Skills:
English B2,C1
Any other European Language: B1
Required Special Skills :
The individual should have:
Hands-on experience on any of the major ERP platforms, preferably Oracle or SAP.
Exposure to US GAAP, IFRS or other international GAAP
Internal control and controllership engagements. Exposure to Sox implementations / testing will be added advantage
Expertise in PowerPoint, Excel and word; familiarity with Visio; web-savvy
Project management and consultative assignments in previous experiences
Experience in Big 4 in consulting or Audit will have a preference
