Your benefits as an Embedded Software Team Leader within MSG IMM Romania Team will be:
• Lead a team of experienced software engineers across projects from 2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.15.4, wireless space and USB 2.0 peripheral and host communication stacks.
• Be involved in full development cycles coordination including functional design, coding and unitary testing for drivers and communication stacks.
• Manage individual development cycles, performance management evaluations, compensation and career path guidance for team members.
• Developing in-depth knowledge of wireless packet switched protocols.
• Enhance your C language and embedded programming skills.
• Gain in-depth knowledge on various processor cores and peripherals.
• Work with the HW team in defining optimized HW platforms and accelerators for the Freescale’s next low-power wireless connectivity products.

Department Description:
Freescale Semiconductor's MSG IMM group offers to its customer’s comprehensive solutions for industrial automation and communication for the consumer space, both wired and wireless. Examples are:

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
The selected candidate will join the R&D SW group, leading and managing the development team that handles embedded low level drivers, communication stacks and applications on different Freescale platforms.
Beside team management, the responsibilities will include creating the software architecture for new products, design modules and features for new or existing products, code, review, document and test new modules/features.
Requirements:
• University degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Automatics and Industrial Control, Electronics, Cybernetics)
• Strong knowledge of ANSI C programming language (5+ years)
• Experience in embedded real-time software development
• Experience in designing software modules
• Experience in developing and optimizing embedded low-level software
• Experience in using debugging tools
• Knowledge of networking protocols
The following would be a plus:
• Experience in software development team management
• Understanding of communication protocols specifications (MAC/network levels, USB)
• Usage of configuration management tools
