Our client is a multinational company, producer of building materials for exterior.
Right now, the company is looking for an excellent PRODUCTION MANGER for its plant, near Bucharest.
The purpose of this position is to manage and develop the production activities of the company, contributing to its profitable growth by achieving key performance objectives.
Direct reports to the General Manager
Responsibilities:
1. Key Responsibilities and Activities
1.1. Planning activities
Long and medium term planning
Besides, as member of the management team- participating in the formulation of the company strategy plans, the plant manager is responsible for the planning of costs and resources including capacity for the yearly budgeting and forecasting, using input data from other management areas.
Main areas:
· production equipment capacity
· manpower
· energy
· maintenance
· fixed costs production
· suppliers (products and services used by the plant)
· raw materials and auxiliaries stocks
· capital expenditures for production activities
· training and organisation development of responsibility area
· purchase strategy (except for raw materials)
· innovation and technical development
· operational practices and overall efficiency improvement
Short term planning
Based on short term sales forecasts and company objectives, the Plant Manager is responsible for the optimal planning and consumption of main production resources:
· seasonal/monthly/weekly/daily production plans
· production equipment capacity management
· manpower management including temporary and contractor workforce
· maintenance activities
· raw materials and auxiliaries call offs
· etc.

Daily activities and responsibilities
-decide on implementation of production plans
- approve purchases of products and services
- decide on manning issues
- coordinate technical and maintenance activities
- internal contacts with other management areas
- personal contacts with key suppliers
- coordination of capital expenditures and assets procurement
- supervise labour and financial administration of the production site
- supervision of site maintenance
Others
- primary contacts with local authorities
- site supervision
- safety, health and environment protection activities and reporting
- supervising the legally conform operation of the site
- evaluations and appraisals of colleagues in the subordinated area
- development of Human Resources
- initiating and steering specific projects in the responsibility area
