RESPONSABILITATI

Basic responsibilities:

• Directing & managing the HFHR fundraising team according to the affiliate and national fundraising strategy.
• Directing and developing the HFHR fundraising activity and Communications, internal and external
• Works to continuosly increase the fundraising capacity at all levels
• Ensures that HFHR revenue goals are met
• Directing and managing the HFHR communication department
• Collaborating with the Europeean and Central Asia Habitat Office and their Resource Development team on synchronizing strategies, mutual support and delivering reports.
• Collaborating with the affiliates Communications teams on building national brand awareness, developing & incorporating national messages about Habitat for Humanity’s mission while enhancing marketing initiatives
• Developing proposals for bi- & multilateral donors, especially for HFHR focus building programs
• Developing & maintaining RD&C development tools & materials for fundraising and communication activities
• Share country experience with other Habitat for Humanity entities and the European and Central Asian Area Office.
• raising awareness on the organization and its work, at both a local and national level - this will involve giving talks to groups or dealing with the media
• teams up with the Program and Financial departments in order to achieve the daily tasks
• Contributes in a direct and significant way to the development and finetuning of the fundraising and communications strategy of Habitat for Humanity Romania
• Secures and works directly with large donors and organizational partners
• A significant amount of time is expected to be spent on actual fundraising activities.
• The RDC director is expected to have representative functions at social and PR events and will be the first press contact for the organization.


CERINTE

The RDC Director is responsible for: (1) resource development to support the activities of our company, its projects and affiliates nationwide; (2) increasing the capacity at an affiliate level to develop the local resource development program; (3) insures the further development and consolidation of the image, brand and the communication strategy of the organization.

This is a critical role and hands-on job for the organization. The postholder will have a senior position and will report directly to the Executive Director to develop the charity's Corporate Fundraising and Communications capacity.

This is a good opportunity to work with a well known, christian, national charity, one of the main NGO’s nationwide.

A university degree in a related field: marketing, communications, social business development, fundraising.

Minimum 7 years of working experience in Marketing/Communication/Fundraising.
At least 7 years experience in managing staff and working with strategic planning and plans

Specific experience in fundraising or grantwriting with documented results is a very strong plus.
Thorough NGO and volunteering experience (National or international) is a plus.
Experience in advertising and branding.

Experience in taking up representative functions.
Good communicator and ready to represent.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to persuade, network and negotiate effectively at senior levels.
Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines;
Ability to meet financial and programatic targets;
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Demonstrated ability to work within a team.

Fluency in Romanian and English: written, reading, speaking
Excellent PC operating skills (MS Office, Cloud Computing, CRM software) plus knowledgeable in DTP and New Media.
